Wind Site Technician II - Montezuma, IA

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of wind turbines through regular maintenance and monitoring.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbine mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose wind turbine system faults and malfunctions.
• Address system issues directly, escalating complex problems as appropriate.
• Document all maintenance activities and work orders accurately.
• Adhere to all safety protocols including LOTO, fall protection, and confined space procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Maintain clean, reliable energy production for local communities.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields
• Highly developed problem-solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities
• Safety-conscious and committed to best practices
• Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments
• Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights
• Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid driver's license
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship
