About the Role

Halliburton is seeking an Accountant for Payments Processing at its Global Business Services center in Bengaluru, India. This role is responsible for processing vendor and intercompany payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices and intercompany payments accurately and on time.
  • Verify payment requests for proper authorization, documentation, and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with procurement and business units to resolve invoice exceptions and disputes.
  • Prepare payment runs and upload transactions to banking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all payment transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Support month-end close activities including accruals and AP aging analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including TDS and GST requirements.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or payments processing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Experience in a shared services or GBS environment preferred.
