About the Role
Based in Port Harcourt within Halliburton's Sperry Drilling Services product line, this role supports office and field operations for well planning and BHA design across Nigerian operations. You'll work directly with customers to assess their needs, maintain technical databases, and deliver post-job analysis — building lasting relationships at the technical level while operating under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to office and field operations related to well planning and BHA design and operation.
- Design well plans following anti-collision processes and BHA modeling requirements.
- Generate design of service documentation in accordance with Halliburton HMS requirements.
- Produce accurate reports using current software applications.
- Apply principles of survey management to well planning activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the technical customer base.
- Consult with customers to assess their specific well planning and directional drilling needs.
- Maintain well planning and BHA design databases.
- Prepare post-job analysis reports for customers.
- Advise customers and field personnel on equipment capabilities and operational complexity.
Qualifications
- Requirements include an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline, preferably in Engineering.
- Incumbents have a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience including working at the well site.
