Wind Technician III - Columbus, ND

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines at the Northern Divide site.
• Lead and mentor junior wind technicians on technical tasks and safety practices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with OEM procedures.
• Complete detailed work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NERC, and site-specific safety standards.
• Coordinate with site management and control room on turbine status and operational issues.
• Respond to emergency callouts and perform high-angle rescue operations as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of wind turbine maintenance experience, with progression to senior/Level III technician.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with SCADA systems and turbine control software.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed.
