About the Role

Halliburton's Landmark division — a global enterprise technology platform used by geoscientists and engineers for high-impact operational decisions — is hiring for two distinct roles: a UX Researcher and a Senior UX Designer. This is large-scale UX modernization work across complex legacy and cloud-based applications, not incremental UI updates. Hybrid profiles with strengths in both research and design are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Own UX design for major workflows or product areas
  • Translate business and technical requirements into intuitive, scalable design solutions
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs
  • Apply and extend the Landmark design system; contribute new patterns when needed
  • Partner closely with product managers and engineers to align requirements and deliverables
  • Validate designs with users and iterate based on feedback
  • Participate in and elevate design reviews across the organization
  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research across complex enterprise workflows
  • Lead usability testing, interviews, contextual inquiry, and journey mapping
  • Identify unmet user needs and opportunity areas within legacy and cloud applications
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights for product and engineering teams
  • Influence roadmap decisions through evidence-based recommendations
  • Establish scalable research practices within product teams
  • Partner with designers to validate concepts and measure experience improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating enterprise or technical product design
  • Mastery of interaction and visual design
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with Angular or React-based systems preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, HCI, Psychology, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Experience conducting research in enterprise or technical domains
  • Strong qualitative research skills; quantitative experience a plus
  • Ability to translate research into product and business impact
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional product teams
  • Experience navigating complex technical environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Comfort working in legacy systems undergoing modernization
  • A desire to shape and elevate UX within a global enterprise organization
