About the Role
Sunlink Manpower is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor for an upstream oil and gas asset in Rivers, Nigeria. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising mechanical maintenance activities to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and minimal disruption to hydrocarbon production and export.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute mechanical maintenance activities on assets and plant to achieve maximum efficiency and safety at minimal cost with minimum disruption to hydrocarbon production and export.
- Provide breakdown and corrective mechanical maintenance and respond effectively to all emergencies to minimize impact on people, environment, assets, and reputation.
- Ensure target availability and technical integrity of assets and identify improvement requirements for facilities and processes.
- Coordinate campaign maintenance delivery with the corporate mechanical maintenance team.
- Manage mechanical maintenance resources and ensure appropriate and structured coaching and competence development.
- Ensure mechanical maintenance contracts provision and supervision.
- Monitor mechanical activity and budget performance in the asset team ensuring agreed KPIs are not compromised.
- Manage mechanical maintenance staff compliance with HSSE requirements and ensure incidents are reported, investigated, and remedial actions implemented.
- Ensure efficiency and reliability of mechanical equipment, export, and power generation facilities.
- Deliver mechanical maintenance and integrity activities in accordance with MIE, AIPSM, and other maintenance management system requirements.
- Ensure compliance with integrity system requirements including statutory inspection plans.
- Deliver agreed maintenance plan in accordance with agreed budget.
- Ensure seamless coordination of all mechanical activities with operations.
- Ensure LTO compliance and statutory inspections are maintained.
- Support shutdown planning and IAP compliance.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance supervision within upstream oil and gas operations.
- Working knowledge of HSE and mechanical maintenance standards and statutory requirements.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (MIE, AIPSM, or equivalent).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with statutory inspection compliance and integrity management.
