About the Role

Halliburton is hiring an entry-level Electrical Technician to join its downhole tools team in Navi Mumbai, India — an ideal opportunity for fresh STEM graduates looking to build a hands-on career in oilfield technology. Working within the Sperry Drilling division, you will develop expertise in Directional, M/LWD, and RSS tool systems under structured supervision with strong on-the-job training support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on downhole tool electronics and equipment, including Directional/RSS or M/LWD sensors.
  • Assist in assembly, disassembly, calibration, and testing of downhole tools.
  • Conduct daily inspections on drilling tools and systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or electronic components of downhole tools.
  • Execute preventive maintenance activities and replace spare parts as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards while working with high-precision equipment.
  • Ensure all duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Qualifications

  • Technical school certificate or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • STEM graduate with 0-2 years of experience; freshers welcome.
  • Strong STEM fundamentals in electrical, mechanical, or electronics.
  • Ability to learn hands-on tool maintenance and follow structured processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude and electronics aptitude preferred.
