Responsibilities
- Under strict supervision, assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment on work locations, including spotting of cement storage vessels and pre-mixing of spacer fluids.
- Rig up appropriate data monitoring equipment at well site.
- Learn the operation of cement pumping and mixing equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, and data acquisition systems.
- Operate Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools.
- Assist in the performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete associated paperwork and reports.
- Comply with all HSE standards, procedures, and regulations on site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Australian HC Unrestricted driver's license or above preferred.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills required.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew and customers in the field.
- Completion of I-Learn courses: Essential Mathematics, Red Book, and Cementing 1 (may be required after hire).
- This is an entry level position in the Cementing service family.
