About the Role
Halliburton is hiring for a tiered Artificial Lift Service Specialist role in Leduc, Alberta — with placement at Level I, II, or III based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The position involves field-based installation, troubleshooting, and repair of artificial lift systems, with a mentoring component for higher-level candidates.
Responsibilities
- Perform artificial lift (AL) installations, pulls, routine checks, and troubleshooting under general supervision.
- Provide instruction and technical support to customer personnel in proper handling and operating procedures of artificial lift equipment.
- Perform basic well production analysis and repair of artificial lift equipment.
- Test, splice, and repair cable associated with artificial lift systems.
- Prepare paperwork including IFTA reports, billable and non-billable hours, and mileage.
- Train and coach new hires in basic principles of artificial lift operations.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness and comply with all applicable HSE procedures and regulations.
- Maintain mechanical performance of the truck used for transportation to and from the field.
- Train and mentor lower-level technicians at the well site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in artificial lift operations.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Class 5 driver's license and ability to provide a copy of driver's abstract.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and safe work practices in oilfield environments.
- Physical ability to perform field work including lifting, bending, and operating in varying weather conditions.
