Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair wind turbines as part of a team to ensure continuous power generation for communities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and perform regular safety inspections on turbines and work areas.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
  • Document work activities and continuously improve operational processes.
  • Accurately time-code all work activities to support clear tracking of task duration and operational efficiency.
  • Respond to alarms and fault conditions, performing diagnostic assessments and corrective actions.
  • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with Vestas procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.
  • Safety-conscious and committed to best practices.
  • Able to work well with others in collaborative team environments.
  • Physically fit, comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights up to 100 meters.
  • Ability to climb stairs and vertical ladders and work in confined space environments.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
