Responsibilities
- Manage CAPEX construction procurement categories including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction contracts.
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance for capital projects.
- Lead competitive bidding processes and RFP/RFQ activities for major construction packages.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and conditions with construction contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and finance to align procurement with CAPEX project schedules and budgets.
- Conduct supplier qualification, risk assessment, and performance evaluation for construction vendors.
- Track and report on CAPEX spend, savings initiatives, and category KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Support contract administration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or category management, with a focus on CAPEX or construction categories.
- Strong knowledge of construction contract types (lump sum, unit rate, cost-plus) and project delivery methods.
- Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
- Familiarity with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project environments.
- Proficiency in procurement ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
