About the Role
Halliburton's Artificial Lift division is hiring an entry-level Cable Technician I in Hermleigh, Texas to support the testing and repair of downhole cable used in submersible pump systems. No prior experience is required — this role is structured for motivated individuals ready to build a career in oilfield equipment services.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic operations to test and repair downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment.
- Receive cable shipments and carry out incoming tests to verify condition and specifications.
- Perform basic repairs and learn how to splice downhole cable.
- Complete paperwork to route cable to inventory or field deployment.
- Learn and apply all relevant company HSE policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cable repair work area.
- Assist senior technicians with more advanced repair and testing tasks as skills develop.
- Record and report test results and repair activities accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- No previous experience required (entry-level position).
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures and safety protocols.
