Cable Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform basic operations to test and repair downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment.
• Receive cable shipments and carry out incoming tests to verify condition and specifications.
• Perform basic repairs and learn how to splice downhole cable.
• Complete paperwork to route cable to inventory or field deployment.
• Learn and apply all relevant company HSE policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cable repair work area.
• Assist senior technicians with more advanced repair and testing tasks as skills develop.
• Record and report test results and repair activities accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• No previous experience required (entry-level position).
• Willingness to learn and follow established procedures and safety protocols.
