Logging Geologist I - Azerbaijan

Responsibilities

• Develop required competencies across the SDL (Sperry Drilling), LWD, and Directional Drilling sub-PSLs.
• Perform geological logging and evaluation of formations at the well site.
• Assist with LWD (Logging While Drilling) data acquisition, quality control, and interpretation.
• Support directional drilling operations by providing geological guidance and geosteering input.
• Compile and analyze well data to generate geological reports and formation evaluation summaries.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers and MWD engineers to optimize well placement.
• Progress toward a specialization in Optimization, Geosteering, or Survey Management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of geological observations and operational activities.
• Adhere to Halliburton HSE policies and procedures at the well site.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• No previous professional experience required (entry-level role).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work at well sites and in field environments.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
