About the Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Support professional to provide first-line technical support to end users within a fast-paced Oil & Gas environment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring minimal downtime for critical business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/VPN).
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents using IT ticketing systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution.
  • Support remote users and field/site offices.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT security policies.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT helpdesk or technical support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Active Directory and user management.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas or industrial environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes.

Certifications

CompTIA A+ CompTIA Network+ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102) ITIL Foundation Certification CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
