About the Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Support professional to provide first-line technical support to end users within a fast-paced Oil & Gas environment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring minimal downtime for critical business operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/VPN).
- Log, track, and resolve incidents using IT ticketing systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for issue resolution.
- Support remote users and field/site offices.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company IT security policies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in IT helpdesk or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Active Directory and user management.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
