Commissioning Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment by complying with Vestas HSE requirements.
• Supervise new or less experienced supervisors and technicians on-site.
• Conduct WTG completion and start-up activities.
• Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain wind turbine generators.
• Identify, register, and manage deviations from quality and safety standards.
• Maintain turbines and equipment to Vestas specifications.
• Collaborate with installation team, QA/QC team, sub-contractors, and client construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with Vestas safety and quality standards throughout commissioning.
• Coordinate offshore commissioning activities and manage team schedules.
• Report commissioning progress and outstanding punch list items to project management.

Qualifications

• Technical education (electrical or mechanical) combined with WTG experience.
• Experience working with electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic diagrams.
• Quality (QA/QC) knowledge.
• Must pass offshore medical and fitness requirements.
• Fluency in English.
• Focus on Health & Safety Environment (HSE), Quality (QA/QC), and customer relations.
• Good process understanding and delegation skills.
• Ability to motivate and encourage your team.
• Hands-on approach, focused on continuous improvement and results.
• Ability to manage situations in difficult times, be consistent, and diligent.
• Resourceful, and thrives in an international environment.
• Willingness to travel and be mobilised globally.
