Operations Supervisor - Gas Processing

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operation of gas processing plants, storage/loading/utilities, and associated gas/liquid pipelines.
• Direct operating personnel in optimization of unit throughput and assign maintenance priorities.
• Monitor plant performance parameters and take corrective action to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to plan and execute shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Enforce HSE policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Conduct shift handover meetings and maintain accurate shift logs and operational records.
• Review and approve permits to work (PTW) for maintenance and construction activities.
• Assist in investigation of incidents, near-misses, and equipment failures.
• Support Engineering and HSE teams with operational input for projects and studies.
• Mentor and develop operations team members to build technical competency.
• Liaise with NGL and pipeline operations teams to coordinate product movements and transfers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and QatarEnergy operational standards.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or Diploma/Degree preferably in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of operations experience in the Hydrocarbon Processing Industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of gas processing operations, NGL fractionation, and pipeline systems.
• Knowledge of process safety management, HSE regulations, and permit-to-work systems.
