Responsibilities

  • Supervise, direct, and perform all phases of rigging up and down of service line equipment on work locations both onshore and offshore.
  • Plan and coordinate job execution including equipment setup, well site direction, and customer-related support activities.
  • Maintain, set up, test, and operate equipment at customer locations and field camps.
  • Mentor and train lower-level Service Operators and Operator Assistants in areas of expertise.
  • Monitor instruments and perform necessary calculations to ensure quality of data at the well.
  • Consult with customers concerning services and products, promote good customer relations at the well site, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain equipment properly and complete all job documentation.
  • Conduct pre-job toolbox safety meetings, review and verify job plans with customer representatives, and manage required changes.
  • Review information from Business Development to confirm best practices and ensure proposed job plans meet customer expectations efficiently.
  • Communicate with other PSLs and third parties to ensure tool and well site activity compatibility.
  • Oversee underbalanced drilling and/or managed pressure drilling operations.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 9+ years of experience in oilfield drilling activities, including 5+ years in underbalanced drilling and/or managed pressure drilling.
  • Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Svc Spec III-GBA.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical acumen and good reading comprehension and writing skills.
  • Ability to work onshore and offshore environments.
