About the Role
Saudi Aramco is one of the world's largest hydrocarbon producers and most profitable companies, combining a generational stewardship of the Kingdom's resources with a commitment to global energy supply. This role sits within the Downstream Strategy group, which owns the overarching strategy formulation, investment planning, sustainability strategy, and decarbonization program for Aramco's downstream business.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Company's foremost expert in Downstream strategy.
- Act as the Corporate Advisor for Downstream business-related matters and provide insight to Downstream Finance, Strategy & Planning, the Downstream President, and other Executive Management.
- Prepare research and analysis for consumption by Downstream Executive Management, the Downstream Investment & Strategy Committee, and other Corporate Committees.
- Collaborate in a group of strategists responsible for articulating the overall Downstream Strategy and formulating energy outlook scenarios.
- Collaborate in developing the Downstream's longer-term strategic plans including capital and resource allocation plans.
- Build strong relationships with subject matter experts across the Company, think tanks, and industry advisory bodies to stay abreast of key Downstream developments globally.
- Conduct analysis of developments in technology, geopolitics, sustainability, regulations, Saudi Arabia's government plans, and the Downstream industry.
- Independently initiate research on wide-ranging topics examining long-term scenarios that might impact the Company's competitive advantage.
- Lead and collaborate on strategic projects to execute decisions resulting from strategic analyses.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management or related fields.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a combination of refining, chemicals, trading and retail marketing business with an international integrated Downstream company or global energy think tank/consulting firm.
- At least 5 years in strategy formulation, scenario planning, and/or strategic planning.
- Demonstrable change management experience.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences.
