Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical systems malfunctions and breakdowns and perform repairs.
• Perform daily checks on all mechanical equipment, maintain mechanical service records, and monitor spares availability.
• Control all non-routine and potentially hazardous routine jobs under the Permit To Work System.
• Plan and control maintenance activities with prioritization on overall company production and technical integrity needs.
• Perform maintenance tasks to the requirements of the Maintenance Integrity Execution standards.
• Evaluate equipment performance, reliability, and failure modes.
• Perform engineering calculations and maintenance activities for gas compressors including inspections.
• Perform pump-motor alignment, basic maintenance, and retrofitting for pneumatic/hydraulic equipment, reciprocating compressors, and static equipment including vessels.
• Provide input to design modifications when required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Associates degree or 2-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Expertise in creating and reviewing technical drawings, plans, and specifications for plant efficiency.
• Experience with pneumatic and modern mechanical tools.
• Knowledge of Permit To Work System.
• Understanding of Maintenance Integrity Execution standards.
• Experience with gas compressors, pumps, motors, and static equipment.
