About the Role
This role sits within Halliburton's Testing & Subsea product service line, focused on deepwater operations out of Reforma, Chiapas, Mexico. You will own field-level execution of Subsea Safety Systems work, combining hands-on technical leadership with customer relationship management and the development of junior SSS personnel.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee Subsea Safety Systems (SSS) product service line work at the well site, providing excellent customer relations during well testing operations.
- Plan and perform necessary calculations for the total job at the well site.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of service operators during equipment rig up/rig down and preparation for jobs.
- Provide planning and instructions to crew regarding equipment and operations, including dispute resolution.
- Identify and communicate potential sales opportunities for other company products and services.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with jobs performed and manage data collection and distribution.
- Coordinate the clean up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.
- Coach and provide input on individual performance levels of subordinates, delivering on-the-job skills development.
- Serve as a dedicated Assessor for junior SSS personnel.
- Promote HSE Process Improvement Initiatives (PII) within the assigned Country or Natural Work Area.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, practices and guidelines.
- Demonstrate understanding of downhole hydraulics, BOP function, and basic reservoir characteristics (BHP, BHT, hydrocarbon characteristics).
- Prepare documented 7-day look-ahead plans for equipment, materials, and personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related to the oil and gas industry.
- 1 year of experience as Service Specialist I-SSS or 5 years of SSS experience including a supervisory role.
- Experience in running Subsea Safety Systems and Subsea Landing String Assemblies including Direct Hydraulic and Electro-Hydraulic Controls.
- Working knowledge of wireline Blow Out Prevention (BOP) functions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform job calculations and understand well parameters.
- Must meet the minimum competency requirements for Service Operator II-SSS.
- Strong communication skills for knowledge transfer with teams and customers.
