About the Role
Saudi Aramco is seeking a Technology Consultant to join the Global Manufacturing Excellence Digitalization and Technology Division (D&TD). The role involves supporting the development and deployment of technology management programs across Aramco's downstream global manufacturing portfolio, ideating, introducing, deploying and sustaining novel technological solutions within domains including reliability, maintenance, sustainability, energy and process.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of technologies across downstream portfolio including petrochemical facilities, refineries, terminals, bulk plants and gas plants
- Develop comprehensive value-adding technology roadmaps aligned to business challenges such as energy optimization, sustainability, plant availability, debottlenecking and process optimization
- Accelerate technology deployment working closely with internal and external execution agencies and vendors
- Conduct feasibility studies including technical and economic evaluation of solutions, platforms, and new technologies
- Perform technology scouting to identify innovative and value-adding technologies
- Develop business cases and cost/benefit analysis for technology deployment
- Work with consultants, engineers, and project managers to deliver comprehensive solutions addressing technical and business requirements
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and benefits of technology initiatives to stakeholders and senior management
- Collaborate with technology providers in developing tailored training content and programs
- Recognize and introduce necessary changes to standards and governance
- Stay abreast of global and regional Oil and Gas industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance and standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical). Master's degree preferred
- 10-15 years of experience as a Technology Consultant ideating, scouting, introducing and tracking value-added technology deployment
- Good understanding of downstream technologies including refinery processes
- Experience in developing business cases and benefit/cost analysis for downstream technology
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams across the project lifecycle
- Excellent understanding of management of change, engineering and design packages, regulatory, risk mitigation and safety requirements
- Experience in change management including developing and implementing technology changes
- Understanding of relevant industry energy, safety and design regulations and standards
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing technology solutions enabling production, reliability, environmental, safety and sustainability
- Strong project management skills with proven track record of leading complex technology implementation projects in O&G
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
